Because we are actively on the coal face of the fire industry, all our tradesmen are familiar with the best industry practices; our personnel are trained and licensed and all works are performed to Australian Standards (AS 1851-2005) to guarantee all our clients' obligations to Australian Building Codes are 100% covered.

Your schedule of maintenance is carried out to Australian Standards 1851 - 2005, AS 2293 & MP6.1 and can incorporate weekly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual testing and all overhauls. Each package is tailored specifically to suit each client and their specific fire protection requirements.

Under the new Building Fire Safety Regulation, ALL businesses must now comply to avoid the following on the spot fines from the Queensland Fire & Rescue Service.

- Written Emergency Management Plan - needs to be site specific and compliant with AS3745-2002 & AS1851-2005 for health & safety obligations

- Site Specific Training & Evacuation Exercises - General evacuation instruction is required for all staff within 2 days of employment commencement then every 12 months thereafter.

First response evacuation instruction specific to emergency equipment on each premises must be conducted within 30 days of starting and at least every 2 years thereafter. Evacuation coordination instructions (warden training) is required annually, as well as evacuation exercise or more frequently if required.

- Fire Safety Advisor - All high occupance buildings (30+ occupants) or a building at risk of overcrowding are required to have a qualified Fire Safety advisor (FSA) appointed.

- Record Keeping for Maintenance & Training - All training conducted and maintenance of fire safety installations records must be kept on site with the Emergency Management Plan and also in an offsite location. The onsite records and management plan are required to be kept in a fire resistant cabinet.

- Evacuation Signs for Doors & Walls - Evacuation signs & diagrams are now required along all evacuation routes in premiseses and must comply with the Building Fire Safety Regulations.

Electronic Maintenance Management

FirePro (Qld) conducts all maintenance and testing via our Electronic Maintenance Management System that automates inspection and maintenance lifecycles for all fire protection components in accorrdance with Australian Standards 1851-2005. It allows us to track all routine testing requirements of each individual asset, as well as managing minor works and defect rectifications. All technicians have fire specific electronic devices loaded with the maintenance software which instantly uploads all results, issues and comments back to head office for immediate actioning. Our system also provides clients with instant access via email to all test reports and statements, as well as automated reports which are sent directly to the client after each test is conducted.
